If I could go back and be at any concert, I’d probably choose to attend Panic! At The Disco’s 2006 Live in Denver show. Unfortunately, however, I was only two years old at that time, so I don’t think they would’ve let me in the venue, even with a fake ID… P!ATD is not for everyone, but I personally I love the 2000s emo cabaret vibes of it all!
For the assignment (having to edit yourself into a picture of a concert you wanted to be at), I thought it would be fun to use this picture from my most recent Halloween costume – a mime! (Teagan dressed up with me as well)! Fun fact, I actually decided to be a mime in the first place because of how much I’ve listened to P!ATD recently. Their aesthetic, during this era at least, was very circus-y. Last year, 2025, also marked the 20th anniversary of their debut album A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out, adding to my (and everyone else’s) overall excitement.
Live in Denver is considered a legendary performance by fans and was recently remastered in HD on YouTube! It was also pressed onto vinyl (limited to 5000 units) for the first time and included in the AFYCSO 20th Anniversary Box Set. (Which I managed to snag, at the expense of my bank account, before it sold out within an hour of release). Below is one of my favorite songs the concert, no pressure to watch the full thing – but I recommend it!
Finally, I’ll leave you with this amazing one-time cover of “Karma Police” by Radiohead that I’ve listened to probably hundreds of times. I love Thom Yorke’s version, but Brendan Urie adds an edge that I can’t get enough of.
